After catching her
fiancĂ© cheating—with another man–usually straight-laced, workaholic
scientist Ellie Fisher liberates her wild side just long enough to
indulge in a passionate one-night-stand with a tall, dark stranger she
meets at a trendy Miami bar. Embarrassed by her recklessness, she ducks
out the following morning without learning the guy’s full name,
something that shouldn’t have been a problem…until a pregnancy test
turns positive.
Being a professional football player, Hudson King
has always been cautious around women. But this one had been
different—so disinterested in his celebrity, so convincingly into him.
When Ellie tracks him down, claiming she’s carrying his baby, he’s
stunned. And more than a little betrayed. But after growing up as
an orphan, he’ll do anything to stay involved in his child’s life, so
he urges Ellie to move to Silver Springs where they can co-parent.
Hudson has a lot of love to give—certainly enough for his child, and
when their initial spark reignites, perhaps for Ellie too.
Review: Thank you Brenda Novak for the ARC of Until You Loved Me by Brenda Novak that I read and reviewed.
I
loved this book. As a football fan I found the profession of the male
hero right up my alley. Hudson was one of those guys you has no choice
but to love from the start of the book even though he had a few rough
edge patches throughout the story. But, in the long run he was one of
the good guys.
Ellie is one of those good girls who goes out on the
town with her friends and meets a guy at club and has a hook up and the
next thing you know she is pregnant with a football stars baby. She has
to
decide what to do about the baby when she finds out the truth about the father.
This
book was full of romance and was very well written. As I said before I
loved the story line. I also loved the chemistry between Hudson and
Ellie, if two characters were written for each other, these two were.
Novak wrote a touchdown with Until You Loved Me the third book in the
Silver Springs Series.
I am giving Until you Loved Me five out of Five stars.

Look Behind You (Kendra Michaels #5) by Iris Johansen
A serial killer is on
the loose in San Diego, and he has a most unusual M.O.: With each kill,
he leaves behind objects with unclear meanings. Most of the recent
killings are centered near Kendra Michaels’ home and office, so it comes
as no great surprise when the FBI shows up at her door. The
investigators soon make a startling discovery: the left-behind objects
are actually souvenirs of other unsolved serial murder cases in various
U.S. cities. And the new cases feature “holdback” characteristics of the
other murders unknown to the general public. Kendra realizes that the
killer has come to challenge and taunt her. The investigators become his
newest targets, even as Kendra slowly begins to suspect that one of
them may be the killer himself. She must find the killer as the body
count rises, and to do so she relies on her own ”dream team” of
agent-for-hire Adam Lynch and private investigator Jessie Mercado. They
must risk everything to defeat a psychopath whose terrifying plan is
years in the making.
Review: Thank you NetGalley for the ARC of Look Behind You by Iris and Roy Johansen that I read and reviewed.
All I can say is wow this book was absolutely amazing. The writing duo of Iris and Roy Johhansen hit it out of the park with Look Behind You.
I loved the return of Kendra Michaels in this book and her chemistry with Lynch was off the charts again. The storyline in this book kept me guessing until the end and when it was finally revealed who Zachary, the serial killer, was I had to read that part just to make sure I did not miss something because I did not see that coming at all and I loved it. This book is definitely one of the best Kendra Michaels books in the series. It is a must read!
I am giving Look Behind You five out of five stars.

Marriage Confidential by Debra Webb, Regan Black
Marriage to Madison
Goode--his secret high-school crush--is news to billionaire techno whiz
Sam Bellemere! The gorgeous State Department liaison has summoned him to
fix a cybersecurity breach at an art museum reception. But why is he
guest-listed as her husband?
Madison has her reasons...as does a nefarious hacker now threatening her life and career. But once they've gone public, introvert Sam and career-focused Madison must play their roles perfectly, trusting and protecting each other as they race to thwart disaster. Surprisingly, being close is easy. A real relationship might be possible...if a worldwide cyber attack doesn't cost them their lives!
Review: Thank you Debra Webb and Regan Black for the copy of Marriage Confidential that I read and reviewed.
I really enjoyed this book that was a joint effort by both Webb and Black. I loved both Madison and Sam as individuals and even more as a couple. The story that Madison told her as a cover that her and Sam were married was just too cute and how it played out in the book was written very well. This book is full of romance and suspense. If you are a computer geek or a romance junkie this book is the perfect read for you.
