The Weight of Silence (Nicole Foster Thriller #2) by Gregg Olsen

Homicide detective Nicole Foster has finally balanced an unsteady life and is anxious for a second chance. There’s no better place to start over than at the beginning—back at her childhood home on the Washington coast, where’s she raising her niece and keeping an eye on her increasingly fragile father. But Nicole’s past is never truly behind her—not when a disturbing new case stirs dark memories of the haunting investigation that shattered her career.
In the middle of the hottest August in a century, a toddler is found dead inside a parked car. Her father says he forgot her. It’s an unthinkable crime. And for Nicole, it’s made all the more unbearable by her own suffocating secrets—those shared by an old rival who has reappeared from the shadows and is pushing Nicole to the edge once again.
Now, wherever the truth lies, solving this case and avenging an unforgivable death is the most important move in Nicole’s career. But to see it through to the end, how far is she willing to go? And what is she prepared to risk this time?

Review: Thank you NetGalley for the copy of The Weight of Silence by Gregg Olsen that I read and reviewed
This was the second Nicole Foster Thriller and I did not love it as much as I did the first book but I did not hate this book either. This book was centered around the death of a one year old child in a hot car and so it was a very deep subject and was bit hard to read. It also dealt with a lot of Nicole's family issues so you got to learn a lot about Nicole and what she had to deal with and how she was going to deal with her family and her family issues. I think the thing that I had the problem with this book was the child's death. It was just so hard to wrap ones mind around that a parent would do that to their own child.
Overall, this was a really good book and it was a great way to get deeper into the life of Nicole Foster and what makes her tick. There was also a number of plot twist and turns that keeps the book true that thriller that you are expecting to get from Olsen.
I am giving The Weight of Silence five out of five stars.

Review: Thank you NetGalley for the copy of Good Little Girls by Rita Herron that I read and reviewed.
I can honestly say that I liked this book a lot more then the first book in the series. I felt this one let the reader know what was going on and I did not feel as lost as I did in the first book. I really enjoyed this book and part of me feels this should have been the first book of the series.
This was a very good read and I am giving it four out of five stars.

Review: Thank you NetGalley for the ARC of Her Mother's Grave by Lisa Regan that I read and reviewed.
This was the third book in the Josie Quinn series by Lisa Regan and this series just keeps getting better. Quinn is one of those female leads that as a reader you have no choice but to cheer for. She is such a strong woman and a kick butt character that from the first book she became one of my favorites and after reading this book and learning her back story I have nothing but respect for her.
What can I say about this book? It was one of those that I could not put down. I loved the story and I love series and I really hope there are more books to come. This book answered questions about Josie's past and also another mystery that she had to solve. It was awesome drone start to finish and I highly recommend it and the two books that come before it in the series.
I am giving Her Mother's Grave five out of five stars.

Will either mother know what is the right thing to do for the child they both love?

Review: Thank you NetGalley for the copy of A Mother's Goodbye by Kate Hewitt that I read and reviewed.
I can honestly say that I really disliked the characters in this book because all they did was whine and complain and they did not do a thing to better their lives. Heather and her husband were so annoying I was to the point I wanted to throw my Kindle across the room because I was going crazy reading their excuses about why they were in the situation they were in and they where just that excuses. I really did not like this book. I could not relate with the characters. With how the reader was suppose to feel for the choice that Heather had to make when I really think if her lazy husband would have stopped popping pills and got off his butt and got a job they would not have had to give up the child or used protection no problem to start with and if he was in so much pain how did he have sex?
I can only give this book two out of five stars because I really did not like it.

Desperate Girls (Wolfe Security #1) by Laura Griffin

Defense attorney Brynn Holloran is right at home among cops, criminals, and tough-as-nails prosecutors. With her sharp wit and pointed words, she has a tendency to intimidate, and she likes it that way. She’s a force to be reckoned with in the courtroom, but in her personal life, she’s a mess.
When a vicious murderer she once helped prosecute resurfaces and starts a killing spree to wipeout those who put him behind bars, one thing becomes clear: Brynn needs to run for her life.

With every new clue she discovers, Brynn is pulled back into the vortex of a disturbing case from her past.
As the clock ticks down on a manhunt, Brynn’s desperate search for the truth unearths long-buried secrets and reignites a killer’s fury.

Review: Thank you NetGalley and Laura Griffin for the ARC of Desperate Girls by Laura Griffin that I read and reviewed.
This book was an excellent read that was full of both romance and action. I enjoyed the pairing of Brynn and Erik as the main couple because they were matched together perfectly. I also loved that the story kept you guessing a bit throughout the book and gave you a few surprises to keep you on your toes. This was a really enjoyable book.
I am giving Desperate Girls five out of five stars.

Double Blind (Kendra Michaels #6) by Iris Johansen and Roy Johansen

Kendra Michaels, formerly blind and now a hired gun for law enforcement agencies who relies on her razor-sharp powers of observation, is reluctant to help the FBI with the most recent case they’ve brought to her. But then she hears the details: the body was found just blocks away from Kendra’s condo. The young woman was carrying an envelope with Kendra’s name on it, and inside was an SD card with what appears to be an innocuous video of a wedding reception. The woman died trying to get the video to Kendra, but for what purpose? Before Kendra and the FBI can answer that question, the bride is abducted from her suburban home.
And so the hunt is on for a killer whose nightmarish plan is slowly becoming clear. A plan that involves a powerful law firm and a multi-billion dollar corporation. As the body count rises, Kendra joins forces with private investigator Jessie Mercado and agent-for-hire Adam Lynch to stop the plot as it grows ever closer to its terrifying conclusion.

Review: Thank you NetGalley for the ARC of Double Blind by Iris and Roy Johansen that I read and reviewed.
This is the sixth book in the Kendra Michaels series and I can honestly say I think this series gets better with each book. This book took me on an emotional rollercoaster. I was actually in tears at one point because I am so invested in these characters and I was feeling Kendra's pain at one point. I love it and I can't wait to see where the authors take the series next.
This book had a great story and was packed full of information about the Kendra Michaels and Adam Lynch story which I love in itself. This book was the full package and I highly recommend it.
Needless to say Double Blind gets five out of five stars.

Face Off (The Evelyn Talbot Chronicles #3) By Brenda Novak

In this twisted game of cat and mouse, Evelyn is certain of only one thing—Jasper must be hiding in plain sight. And if she can’t find him before he comes for her, she won’t be lucky enough to survive twice.

Review: Thank you NetGalley and Brenda Novak for the ARC of Face Off by Brenda Novak that I read and reviewed.
This book was the third book in the Evelyn Talbot series and it was the showdown that we have all been waiting for between Evelyn and her ex boyfriend, Jasper Moore, who has been stalking her for over twenty years since he did not kill her when he tried he high school. This book was full of action and suspense and a bit of romantic turmoil between our beloved couple of Evelyn and Amarok, her boyfriend and also the sheriff of the town she lives in and the man whose mission it is to protect her from Jasper.
Overall, this was an excellent read the only thing that I had a problem with was that anticlimactic end. I was expecting a bit more with everything that was leading up to it but that was just my take on it. Someone else may love how it ended.
However, I am still giving Face Off five out of five stars.

ER doctor Marissa Frasier needs the best protection after she's wrongly suspected of her ex-husband's murder. And rugged Colby Agency investigator Lacon Traynor is keeping her close 24/7, helping her find the truth--and uncovering her most vulnerable passions. But someone else wants Marissa for his own...and is about to use their desire as one killer trap.

Review: Thank you Debra Webb for the copy of Body of Evidence that I read and reviewed.
This book was very good and had a lot of romance and suspense in it. I enjoyed the pairing of Marissa and Lacon in this book because they complemented each other very well.
I really enjoyed Marissa as a character because she had so much spunk. I loved how she stood up to the mob boss and was not afraid to tell him how she wanted things to go. This book fit really well in the Colby Agency: Sexi-ER series.
I am giving Body of Evidence five out of five stars.

A Merciful Silence (Mercy Kilpatrick #4) by Kendra Elliot

Raised as a prepper, Mercy is now relying on her survivalist instincts to defend her town from the people the law can’t reach. But this time, an investigation calling up a dark past for her and police chief Truman Daly may be hitting too close to home.

Is this the case of a sick copycat, or is the wrong man behind bars? One person might have the answer. The lone survivor of the decades-old crimes has returned to town still claiming that she can’t remember a thing about the night she was left for dead. As the search for the truth becomes more dangerous, Mercy fears that the traumatized woman may not have buried her memories at all. She might be keeping them a secret. And there’s a price to be paid for revealing them.

Review: Thank you NetGalley for the ARC of A Merciful Silence by Kendra Elliot that I read and reviewed.
This was the fourth book in the Mercy Kilpatrick series and this series just keeps getting better. Elliot outdid herself with Mercy and and Truman's story in this book and I loved it. I also enjoyed the mystery in the book as well.
This series keeps building on itself with each book a bond even though they can be stand alone I would read the entire series from the start to get the entire feeling of what is going on with all the characters because they do show up in all books and have storylines that are ongoing.
I can't wait for the next book to see what happens next. I am giving this book five out of five stars.

Liar, Liar by Lisa Jackson

In death, Didi Storm is finally getting the kind of publicity that eluded her in life. Twenty years ago, the ex-beauty queen worked the Vegas strip as a celebrity impersonator, too busy trying to make it big to spare much time for her daughter, Remmi. Shortly before she leaped from a San Francisco building, Didi’s profile was rising again, thanks to a tell-all book. To Detective Dani Settler, it looks like a straightforward suicide, or perhaps a promotional stunt gone wrong. But Remmi knows the truth isn’t so simple. Because though the broken body on the sidewalk is dressed in Didi’s clothes and wig, it isn’t Didi.
Remmi was fifteen when she last saw her mother. Their parting came in the aftermath of a terrible night in the Mojave desert when Remmi—who’d secretly stowed away in Didi’s car en route to meet her crush, Noah Scott—instead became witness to a mysterious rendezvous. Didi handed over one of her newborn twins to a man Remmi didn’t recognize. Subsequently, Didi disappeared, as did Remmi’s other
half-sibling. Remmi has pleaded with the authorities to find them, but there have been no clues. Yet she’s always had the sense that someone is watching her . . .
If the victim isn’t Didi, who is it—and what’s the connection? Remmi is shocked when Noah resurfaces. He was also in the desert that night, and now runs his own PI firm. He too believes it’s time to find out what really happened. As they and Detective Settler dig deeper, the truth about Remmi’s missing family begins to emerge . . . a story of ruthless ambition and twisted lies that someone will kill again and again to keep hidden .

Review: Thank you NetGalley for the ARC of Liar, Liar by Lisa Jackson that I read and reviewed.
This book was an excellent book by Lisa Jackson. I can honestly say that I was guessing from the start who the killer was and what really was going on with Didi and the twins. I loved how Jackson kept the reader on the edge and brought the story from the current time to the past and then back to the current time. It was just written so well that as a reader, I felt like I really knew what was going on the entire time.
I also loved Remmi and Noah's story and how it plays out throughout the book and time. It adds another dimension to the book for me that made it all that more better.
I have no choice but to give Liar, Liar five out of five stars because it was an excellent book full of mystery and suspense.

Review: Thank you NetGalley for the copy of Catch a Killer by Kris Rafferty that I read and reviewed.
This was a really good book that was full of hot romance and suspense. I loved how the author kept the reader guessing who the killer was until the very end. I also can say that the romance scorched the pages from the start as well. If you are looking for a book that is the full package this is it.
I am giving Catch a Killer five out of five stars.

Review: Thank you Debra Webb for the ARC of Sin and Bone that I read and reviewed.
What to say about this book except that it was Hot! There were some parts in this book that were hot enough I was worried that my fingers were going to burn or I was going to need a cold shower whichever came first. The chemistry between Devon and Bella was off the charts. Now that I have everyone wondering what Debra Webb was writing about I will say this book was very good.
I enjoyed the story and as I mentioned before the romance. I found the suspense part of the book well written and there was a lot of intrigue in this second instalment at this newest Colby Agency book.
Sin and Bone gets five out of five stars from me.

The closer she gets to the truth, the deeper she’s drawn into an inescapable trap made just for Clarke. Whatever Cross’s ultimate game is, it ends with her.

Review: Thank you NetGalley for the copy of It Ends With Her by Brianna Labuskes that I read and reviewed.
I really enjoyed this book even though I figured out parts of it and other things shocked me. This was one of those books that you really needed to be able to deal with a lot of crazy things to be able to handle this book emotionally. This definitely hits the reader on a lot of mental levels.
I loved Clarke and Sam as a team even though to me it was a bit codependent in a twisted sort of way. All I can say is be ready for an emotional ride.
This book gets four out of five stars from me.

The Summer of New Beginnings (Magnolia Grove #1) by Bette Lee Crosby

Aspiring journalist Meghan Briggs has always been the responsible one in the family. So when her father passes away unexpectedly, leaving behind his at-risk business, she steps up to save his legacy—even if that means putting her own dreams on hold.
Tracy couldn’t be more different from her sister. She’s always been the rebellious type, without much direction in life. But in the wake of her latest romantic disaster, she finds herself moving back home as a single mother.
As Tracy experiences the difficulties of new motherhood, Meghan faces her own struggle: trying not to fall for the stray puppy she rescued. This is no time for attachments—not to the adorable “Sox,” whose owner is bound to turn up any day, and certainly not to the handsome new vet in town. But as the summer unfolds, she discovers that, like Sox, she may need rescuing, too.
As both sisters navigate unexpected challenges and exciting new relationships, they’ll find that putting the past to rest can make way for beautiful new beginnings.
Review: Thank you NetGalley for the copy of The Summer of New Beginnings by Bette Lee Crosby that I read and reviewed.
I did enjoy this book but the problem I had with it was that it moved really slow. I enjoy books that move a bit faster and for me this book dragged on a bit more then I would have liked.
However, the story was very good and interesting. I enjoyed the bond between the sisters and how they were there for each other when they were needed.
I am giving this book four out of five stars.

The IF in Life: How to Get Off Life’s Sidelines and Become Your Best Self by Rashad Jennings

The odds were stacked against him, but through hard work and determination, Rashad became a record-setting running back who has played with the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Oakland Raiders, and the New York Giants.
In The IF in Life, Rashad writes about the decisions that shaped his life. From overcoming injuries and setbacks to reaching goals and everything in between, Rashad’s transparency about his journey will encourage readers to hold on to faith in the midst of uncertainty and win big in life.

Review: Thank you NetGalley for the copy of The IF in Life: How to Get Off Life's Sidelines and Become Your Best Self By Rashad Jennings that I read and reviewed.
I will admit that I am a huge football fan but Rashad Jennings stayed under my radar until I watched him on Dancing With The Stars and I fell in love with him as an athlete and a dancer. He was great on that show and I was hoping an NFL team would give him another chance but that is not what happened so when I saw this book I had read it to learn more about the man behind the that charming smile.
This book opened my eyes to the complex life that Jennings lived and what he gave up and and all that he went through to reach his dreams. If you have a child or know a child that needs a bit of motivation to reach his dreams and not let anything hold them back this would be an excellent book to hand them and have them read. There are a few athletes that you can say are true role models and Rashad Jennings is one of them. He used his family and his faith in God to get where is today and he is proud to give the credit where it belongs. He is a great leader for youth today and this book showing his journey is a great tribute to the man he has become.
The IF in Life gets five out of five stars from me.

Now his job is to keep Kaitlin safe. As a bond between Kaitlin and Adler builds, the past closes in just as fast—and it’s darker than Kaitlin remembers. Soon, her wish will come true. She’s going to find out exactly what happened to Gina. Someone has been dying to tell her.

Review: Thank you NetGalley for the ARC of Her Last Word by Mary Burton that I read and reviewed.
Mary Burton hit it out of the park with Her Last Word. This book was an excellent read from the start. The only thing that I must caution readers to do is to be sure to look at the dates at the start of each chapter so that they they know if they are dealing with what is going on during the current time and not the memories that people are going over with Kaitlin for podcast.
I thought the matchup of Kaitlin and Adler was brilliant. They went together so well and you could feel the chemistry coming off the pages. As for they mystery of what happened to Gina and who was her killing people now who was there the night she disappeared it was well written and played out very well. This book truly was an great book and I hope to see some of the secondary characters in upcoming books as well.
Her Last Word gets nothing but five out of five stars.

Review: Thank you NetGalley for the ARC of Beyond Control by Kat Martin that I read and reviewed.
This book was pretty good. Even though Beyond Control was the third book in a trilogy it was a stand alone. I enjoyed the book for the most part. It did move a bit slow in some parts for me but it was a good read.
I am giving Beyond Control four out of five stars.

Jar of Hearts by Jennifer Hillier

This is the story of three best friends: one who was murdered, one who went to prison, and one who's been searching for the truth all these years . . .
When she was sixteen years old, Angela Wong—one of the most popular girls in school—disappeared without a trace. Nobody ever suspected that her best friend, Georgina Shaw, now an executive and rising star at her Seattle pharmaceutical company, was involved in any way. Certainly not Kaiser Brody, who was close with both girls back in high school.
But fourteen years later, Angela Wong's remains are discovered in the woods near Geo's childhood home. And Kaiser—now a detective with Seattle PD—finally learns the truth: Angela was a victim of Calvin James. The same Calvin James who murdered at least three other women.
To the authorities, Calvin is a serial killer. But to Geo, he's something else entirely. Back in high school, Calvin was Geo's first love. Turbulent and often volatile, their relationship bordered on obsession from the moment they met right up until the night Angela was killed.
For fourteen years, Geo knew what happened to Angela and told no one. For fourteen years, she carried the secret of Angela's death until Geo was arrested and sent to prison.
While everyone thinks they finally know the truth, there are dark secrets buried deep. And what happened that fateful night is more complex and more chilling than anyone really knows. Now the obsessive past catches up with the deadly present when new bodies begin to turn up, killed in the exact same manner as Angela Wong.
How far will someone go to bury her secrets and hide her grief? How long can you get away with a lie? How long can you live with it?

Review: Thank you NetGalley for the copy of Jar of Hearts by Jennifer Hillier that I read and reviewed.
I really enjoyed this book. I have never read anything by Hillier before but now I am a fan.
Had of Hearts was a very emotional thriller with a number of twist that keep the reader on edge. I also loved the book being told from both a male and female perspective to add another dimension to the story. This was an excellent read and I absolutely loved it.
Jar of Hearts gets five out of five stars.

Review: Thank you NetGalley for the ARC of The Girl With No Name by Lisa Regan that I read and reviewed.
All I can say is I loved this book. This series is awesome and I really hope that Lisa Regan decides to go further with Josie Quinn because this is one heck of a character that can go a long way.
This book had me hooked from the start and I could not out it down. With the abduction of a baby and her fiance Josie Quinn and her team had their hands full in this book and and it seemed like they were finding bodies and hurdles in their way at every turn.
This book was full of action and suspense and was another great read n this series by Lisa Regan. If you are looking for a book that you won't be able to put down that be sure to puck up The Girl With No Name because it will not disappoint.
I am giving this book five out of five stars.

That’s not a mistake Todd is making again.

Review: Thank you for the ARC of Finding the Edge by Debra Webb that I read and reviewed.
I really enjoyed this book that was fast moving and was full of action from start to finish. When ER nurse Eva Bowman accidentally killed a gang leaders brother when he was trying to rape her in the restroom she was marked for death. She goes to the Colby Agency for help and her bodyguard is none other than her her first love Todd Christian who left her without a word with a broken heart in college.
Todd has his hands full keeping Eva alive and his hands off of her as he is protecting her from a man who is determined to get revenge for his younger brother and is leaving bodies in his wake. This is another great book by Debra Webb that will keep you in the edge of your seat until the end.
Finding the Edge gets five out of five stars.

The Forgotten Ones by Steena Holmes

Elle is a survivor. She’s managed to piece together a solid life from a childhood of broken memories and fairy tales her mom told her to explain away bad dreams. But weekly visits to her mother still fill Elle with a paralyzing fear she can’t explain. It’s just another of so many unanswered questions she grew up with in a family estranged by silence and secrets.
Elle’s world turns upside down when she receives a deathbed request from her grandfather, a man she was told had died years ago. Racked by grief, regrets, and a haunted conscience, he has a tale of his own to tell Elle: about her mother, an imaginary friend, and two strangers who came to the house one night and never left.
As Elle’s past unfolds, so does the truth—if she can believe it. She must face the reasons for her inexplicable dread. As dark as they are, Elle must listen…before her grandfather’s death buries the family’s secrets forever.
Review: Thank you NetGalley for the copy of The Forgotten Ones by Steena Holmes that I read and reviewed. I could not put this book down. I read this book in one sitting. I thought I had it all figured out but by the end I really did not have a clue what was going and I loved every second of it. This was one of those books that Steena Holmes takes the reader on an emotional journey with her on and you fall in love with the people in the book and feel like they are part of your family and when the book is over you feel like you lost your friends.I loved the Elle and her mother and even her grandfather. Each person in this book played a special part that made this book excellent. If you are looking for a book that will keep you guessing from start to finish and will take your breath away The Forgotten Ones is the one you are looking for.I give The Forgotten Ones five out of five stars.

There Once Was A Child by Debra Webb

A sexual predator recently released from prison is missing…there’s blood on the floor—but there are two blood types. Is he a victim of revenge or has another of Nashville’s children gone missing?
Joseph Fanning stole and abused seventeen children. Recently released after serving his time, now he’s gone missing. Detective Olivia Newhouse and her partner, Walt Duncan, have a duty to do all within their power to find him—just as they would for any other citizen. The first step is to make a list of possible suspects and the logical names to start with are Fanning's victims. Those seventeen children are now adults and more than one would like to see Joseph Fanning dead.
As Olivia and Walt dig deeper into the case their own lives begin to unravel. The fragile threads of discovery start to twist and tangle until nothing is as it seems.
When the one victim who knows the whole truth is revealed, no one will be the same.

Review: After reading an ARC of There Once Was A Child by Debra Webb my mind is still trying to wrap around what I just read because it was a so good took you on such on emotional ride.
With this book you felt for every one of the three main characters: Liv, Walt and The Child and each one took you on their own journey in this book and that is what made this one of Debra Webb's best books yet.
Walt was dealing the loss of his wife and his morality. Liv is dealing with so much loss in her life and can't figure out what she really wants. Then The Child is dealing with being abused. All very deep subjects that Webb handled with class.
I am not going to get into the book and deeper but I will say this is a must read. There Once Was A Child gets five out of five stars.

Review: Thank you NetGalley for the ARC of After Anna by Lisa Scottoline that I read and reviewed.
I had mixed feelings about this book overall but in the end I ended up enjoying it because the author took a turn I did not see coming and I was like "Oh wow what a way to end the book."
I found it interesting that the book was told in two perspectives looking back on what happened but you don't get to hear from Anna and I think that is what was hard for me to deal with.
Overall, this was an interesting book when you get use to the style and it does have a few twist that makes it even more exciting. I am giving After Anna four out of five stars.

Eve and her team must work quickly to discover who is behind the murder – and maybe even prevent more loss of life. But how do you fight a killer who is willing to destroy anyone as a means to an end?

Review: Thank you NetGalley for the ARC of Shattered Mirror by Iris Johansen that I read and reviewed. This was another excellent Eve Duncan book. This book had a lot of Eve, Joe, their son Michael, Cara and Jock in it so it was awesome having so many characters that we have grown to love throughout the series in this book.I really loved how Cara has grown up in this book and how her feelings for Jock are finally explored a bit more. I can't wait until the book comes out that is dedicated to them and their relationship. It has been a long time coming. As for this book it was a great Eve Duncan story with her protecting her family at all cost. With this series having as many books as it does it blows my mind how Johansen still can write about Eve and her family and keep it fresh but she still does and all of her books are excellent reads and I personally can't get enough of Eve Duncan. Shattered Mirror gets five out of five stars.

PI Jessie Cole is about to discover that there’s no revenge too wicked as New York Times bestselling author T.R. Ragan’s gripping series continues.

The man blames Shepard for his child’s death and plans to make the CEO know what it’s like to live with a broken heart—and watch others die. After killing two employees, the desperate father kidnaps Shepard’s daughter. Tasked with finding her, Jessie and crime reporter Ben Morrison are running out of time to save her.
Meanwhile, Ben is still seeking insight into the man he used to be before a car crash erased his memories. And each discovery is leading Jessie and him down a frightening road. What they find could scar both of them forever.

Review: Thank you NetGalley for the ARC of Deadly Recall by T.R. Ragan that I read and reviewed.
The second book in the Jessie Cole series was totally awesome. I loved how Jessie managed to solve two cases and also helped her friend Ben delve deeper into his past.
This book picked right up where the first one left off with Ben and Jessie teaming up to solve a case and Ben having flashbacks that are upsetting him that involve images what make him believe that he might be a murderer. I am not going to get into everything that happens but I will say that this book has set up the next book which I hope goes deeper into Ben's life and if is or isn't a killer. I love how Ben and Jessie have such a great relationship when they work together and have so much trust in each other and even though Ben can't remember his past he knows something is wrong and he trusts Jessie to help him to find out the truth even if it is bad. The Jessie Cole series is excellent and leaves the reader begging more.
I am giving Deadly Recall five out of five stars!

Bones Don't Lie (Morgan Dane #3) by Melinda Leigh

Shocking evidence hits close to home for attorney Morgan Dane and PI Lance Kruger as Wall Street Journal bestselling author Melinda Leigh’s acclaimed series continues.
Private investigator Lance Kruger was just a boy when his father vanished twenty-three years ago. Since then he’s lived under the weight of that disappearance—until his father’s car is finally dredged up from the bottom of Grey Lake. It should be a time for closure, except for the skeleton found in the trunk. A missing person case gone cold has become one of murder, and Lance and attorney Morgan Dane must face the deadly past that’s risen to the surface.
For Lance, the investigation yields troubling questions about a man he thought he knew. But memories can play dirty tricks. For Morgan, uncovering each new lie comes with a disquieting fear that someone is out there watching, because someone is killing every witness tied to this decades-old crime. Morgan and Lance follow in the shadows of a relentless killer and walk right into the cross fire.

Review: Thank you NetGalley for the ARC of Bones Don't Lie by Melinda Leigh that I read and reviewed.
This was an excellent book. It was an excellent addition to the Morgan Dane series and it answered a lot of questions that were brought up in earlier books. I loved the fact that we found out what happened to Lance's dad and also how the relationship between Lance and Morgan continues to grow.
This book was was full of surprises and who the killer was just about knocked me off my seat and that is what I love about Melinda Leigh and her books. She is not afraid to shock her readers and throw them a curve ball that will make them shake their head and say "WOW I never saw that one coming!"
Bones Don't Lie get five out of five stars from me.
