Review:
I was given an ARC of Dangerous Games from the author for an honest review and this is my review.
Dangerous
Games is one of those books that grabs the reader from the start and
does not let go until the end. Now with the cliff hanger that the reader
was left with this book I usually knock off points but the next book is
due out in two weeks so I am not going to hold the suspenseful ending
against this author because this is an excellent book and now I can't
wait for book two to see what happens next.
I loved Maggie the
damaged former FBI negotiator with a lot of baggage who was not sure if
she still has what it takes to the job anymore. And Jake the former
military guy and now consultant to the higher ups in DC is an
interesting guy who adds a little spice to Maggie's well ordered
operations. The chemistry between those two is also a very interesting
element to the book.
I enjoyed the plot about Kayla's kidnapping and
how she is portrayed as a resilient teen. Her father, the Senator, on
the other hand is a jerk. I am not going to go further into the plot due
to spoilers but I am going to say, read it.
I am giving this new author and her new book, Dangerous Games five out of five stars.
